BEHIND THE SONG

The song was one of the last to be written and recorded; however, it is the one that opens the EP due to its «intro», which was created with the intention of transporting you to the past and your memories. Representing the stage of denial, «Perpetuos» was written on September 7, 2023, and recorded on September 12, 2023. It was inspired by and based on my own experience with emotional dependency and its consequences.

THE VIDEO

For the dynamics of the music videos, I gathered with friends passionate about cinema, aiming for them to convey, through the videos of my songs, their personal perspective on the meaning of depression. Each one brought their unique viewpoint. On this occasion, the video was filmed on February 23 and 24, 2024, in Toronto, ON, under the direction of Renzo Bastos, a friend of mine from the University of Lima. The video depicts the deterioration of a relationship, which becomes toxic due to addiction and emotional and physical abuse, all told through storytelling. Thanks to Natalia, Sebastian, Ashley, Santiago, and especially Renzo, for leaving their mark on this project.
